Enrollment Process
At-a-glance timeline for Acres of Fun & Apple Shed Academy

Registration for the school year for new families is on a first come, first served basis from our Waitlist of Prospective Families who have had a tour or attended an Open House.
Farm to Forest & After School Adventures & Enrichment have open enrollment all year long and do not require a pre-enrollment form. We are happy to provide a tour to learn more about the programs.
How Enrollment Works (Step-by-Step)
1) Pre-Enrollment Form (takes 3–5 minutes)
Tell us about your child, schedule needs, and contact info. This lets us match you to the right classroom and tour.
No payment due.
Completing this step lets you book a tour.
2) Tour the Program
See our outdoor classrooms in action, meet teachers, and ask questions. Children are welcome!
3) Prospective Families Waitlist (Optional)
Want first access when enrollment opens?
Fee: $150 (non-refundable)
What it does: Places your family on the Prospective Families Waitlist and gives you priority access to register before general registration opens.
What it does not do: It does not guarantee a spot.
4) Full-Time Registration Window — Opens Feb 20
Families seeking 5 days/week get first priority. If you’re a current family on the Prospective Families Waitlist, you’ll receive an email with a link to register when this window opens.
5) Part-Time Registration Window — Opens After Full-Time Window on March 1
Once the full-time window closes, we open remaining spots to 2–4 day/week schedules. We’ll email the link to register to everyone on the Prospective Families Waitlist.
6) Registration & Deposit
With the registration link emailed, you’ll complete the registration process and pay the non-refundable 10% deposit. The 10% deposit is 10% of the yearly tuition, and is applied to the June payment of the school year you’re registering for.
7) Open Registration
If there are remaining spots available after everyone on the Prospective Families Waitlist have registered, we will open registration to the general public on March 20.
How We Prioritize Spots
We fill full-time seats first to stabilize classrooms and staffing.
We then backfill with part-time schedules that best fit remaining openings.
Submitting a part-time request early helps us match days, but we won’t place part-time schedules until the part-time window opens.

No. It provides early access but doesn’t guarantee a spot.
Do I need to join the Prospective Families Waitlist?
No, but it improves your chances if you need specific days or full time registration.
What if I only want part-time?
Submit the Pre-Enrollment Form and book tour now. You’ll be invited to register when the part-time window opens.
What if I miss the window?
You’ll remain on our waitlist, and we’ll contact you as openings arise.

Tuition is billed the first of the month. If you need to cancel or make changes to your schedule, we ask for a 30 day notice.

Billing
10% Tuition Deposits to hold your child’s place in the program are due at time of registration and are applied to the last payment of your child’s tuition. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
Late payments via check will incur a $10/day fee. Returned checks incur a $25 fee.
Tuition can be paid monthly, quarterly or in full.
Monthly Payments get broken into 10 equal payments. For example, if your tuition is $7500, the deposit will be $750 at time of registration, and then 9 payments of $750 the 1st of each month September-May.
Quarterly Payments are due on August 15, November 1, January 15 and April 1.
Pay-in Full Payments are due on August 15.
